Obituary

Edward J. Julian passed away peacefully on Dec. 22, 2014. He joins his parents, Edward and Mary (Somers), his siblings, James, Josephine, Mary, John, and his saintly wives Mary (Mulvaney) and Christina (Fitzpatrick).
He was “a patient man” to his daughters, Barbara Julian of Cooper City, FL and Catherine and her husband Ronald DelCore of East Hampstead, NH. The DelCore grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife, Courtney, Sarah, Yovannie and Justice will miss their beloved “Grumps”.
Ed was born in the Bronx, NY on June 27, 1925. He owned homes in Commack, NY and Micco, FL. A graduate of Immaculate Conception School in the Bronx, NY and Commerce High School in New York City, Ed served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1943-1965. He later worked for Abraham and Strauss Department Stores.
A happy-go-lucky Irishman, Ed was proud of his New York roots. His first job was selling programs at Yankee Stadium. He enjoyed time on his boat, going on cruises, a good poker game and following his extended family on Facebook. He was fond of Manhattans (“easy on the ice”) and a cold beer. He spent quality time ‘resting his eyes’.
A funeral Mass at St.Kilians’ Church and burial at Long Island National Cemetery, both of Farmingdale, NY are being planned for early spring.
Memorial donations may be made to Honor Flight New England, PO Box 16287, Hooksett, NH 03106. www.honorflightnewengland.org
The family would like to thank everyone at Fox Den Retirement Community and Parkland Medical Center who were so kind to him and to us.
