Abe Kaloustian, 83 of Natick died Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice in Wayland.
He was the beloved husband for 53 years of the late Alice L. (Andersen) Kaloustian who died in 2003.
A Natick resident for 54 years he was born in Watertown the son of the late Richard and Anna (Kaprizian) Kaloustian.
Mr. Kaloustian was the owner and operator of Abe’s Arco Station in Downtown Natick for 42 years retiring in 2005.
Abe was known in town for his dedication to his family, friends and his loyal customers at the station.
Abe’s at the corner of South Avenue and Main Street next to the train station , was a welcome gathering spot for many of the Natick locals to obtain quality auto repairs, gasoline, and friendly advice.
He enjoyed antique cars and attending car shows with his son Rick and friends at the annual car meet in Hershey, PA where he was awarded numerous prizes for displaying his exceptional autos over the years.
Family winter trips to St. Petersburg, Florida were cherished for thirty years especially by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Abe was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by three daughters Debbie Feeley and her husband Danny, Dorene Kaloustian and John Williams, Darlene DiCicco and her husband Tony, all of Natick, four grandchildren Tom Feeley and his wife Joyce of Brighton, Kristen Rogers and her husband Matt of Millis, Amy Lankarge and her husband Pete of Brighton, Missy DiCicco of Natick, two great grandchildren, Danny Feeley, Emma Rogers, and a third great-grand child soon to be born, one sister Mary Marderosian of Watertown, and many nieces, nephews and very close friends.
He was also the father of the late Rick Kaloustian who died in 2011 and brother of the late Vaughn Kaloustian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 31st at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.
Burial will follow in Dell Park Cemetery.
Visiting hours in the Funeral Home are Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
