GLOUCESTER – Patricia A. (Moynihan) Earl, 79, died Monday morning, December 22, 2014 at the Seacoast Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Paul M. Earl, who died in October.
Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on March 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Koelblen) Moynihan. She was a graduate of Michigan State University, where she and Paul met.
Pat owned and operated the Blue Shutters Inn from 1970 to the late 1980’s. She loved to travel and later became a tour director for senior groups, having been employed by both Vantage and ITMI.
She is survived by her children, Michael Earl of Gloucester, Mark Earl and his wife, Jody of Peachtree City, GA, Marcie Smith and her husband, Scott of Danvers, and Matthew Earl and his wife, Kristin of Bradenton, FL; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Riley and Reese Earl of Peachtree City, Jacob Reid and Colton Smith of Danvers, Jason and Merina Earl of Bradenton; sister, Kay Jenkins and her husband, Ed of Tucson, AZ; brother, Jack Moynihan and his wife, Jan of Englewood, FL and six nieces and nephews.
