Maureen E. (McCarthy) Jenkins, of Medford, formerly of Goucester, died Friday at home, in the company of a loving family. She was 45.
Born and raised in Medford, Maureen was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Kirwin) McCarthy. After graduing Medford High School with the class of 1977, Maureen lived in Gloucester for ten years. She and her husband Phil returned to Medford where they raised their children. Maureen worked many years as a banquet hostess and supervisor at Montvale Plaza, Stoneham. Dedicated to her family, Maureen enjoyed gardening and summers in North Eastham on Cape Cod.
She was the beloved wife of Phillip Jenkins. She was the mother of Elizabeth and Phillip, Jr. both of Medford. She was the brother of Robert McCarthy, III of Wilmington.
Relatives and friends may visit Monday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Tuesday at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
