NEW BEDFORD… David C West, 62, of New Bedford passed away suddenly at his home, Wednesday, December 18, 2014.
He was born and raised in Wareham, a son of the late Nelson H. and Joan E. (MacKenzie) West, where he lived most of his life before moving to New Bedford. After graduating Wareham High School in 1971, David worked as a manager of the Charter Gas Station for several years. He then went on to work for Seven Hills Behavioral Health Center in Fall River for 20 years and C.A.B Transportation LLC. David enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, going to Ridley's Autograph Signing with his long time buddy, Miguel E. Martinez Sr. and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his niece, Jessica Lynn West of Clearwater FL. and her two sons Erick and Dyllon, his nephew, Randy M. Jenney of Newport Richey ,FL, his nephew, Scott R. Jenney and his wife Christine of Hudson, FL and their two sons Nicholas and Raymond, his niece Jessica Lee West of Newport Richey,FL, and her daughter Sage, and his god daughter, Amanda Lamb of Mattapoisett, MA. He was brother of the late James N. (Jim ) West and was predeceased by his beloved dogs, Cinda and Bandit.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, January 31st from 1 - 3 PM with a service at 2 PM at Moose Lodge 914,119 Rockdale Avenue, New Bedford, MA 02740.
