John Joseph Dewees, 63, passed away December 17, 2014. He retired from the Navy after 22 years of service, was a member of the American Legion Dixie Post #220 and was catholic by faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elza Dewees, Margaret Lambert and brother, Robert Dewees. He is survived by his sons, John and Kevin Dewees; granddaughter, Mazzy and his sister, Joyce Pulley (Archie). His funeral mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Mary Queen of Peace, St Denis Campus, 4205 Cane Run Road, with burial following at Highland Memory Garden. Visitation is 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
