Obituary


WORCESTER – Edmond C. Allaire Jr., 67, of 20 Fourth Street died Wednesday, December 15 in Good Samaritan Hospital.

His wife of 46 years Eileen P. (Crowley) Allaire died in 2000. He leaves three daughters Michelle F. Johnson and Lisa M. Cann both of Worcester and Brenda E. Nicholas of Auburn, Maine; a brother Ronald Allaire of Shrewsbury; four sisters Pearl Gill of Worcester, Rita Boutwell of Hudson, Florence Holbrook of Florida and Barbara A. Tuson of Worcester; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son Edward J. Allaire. He was born in Worcester son of Edmond and Florence (Paquin) Allaire.

Mr. Allaire was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for many years. He was a member of M.A.D.D. and the American Legion Greenwood Post.

The funeral will be held on Monday, December 20 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 10:30 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 9 to 10 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, 120 Stafford Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
