N. Odessa “Detty” Kuster, 100, of Franconia, NH, passed away on December 16, 2004 after a period of failing health. She was born in Bloomsburg, PA, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Enola Fry. She married Walter Kuster in 1927 and they moved to New England where they shared 57 years of marriage. She was a talented pianist and seamstress. Most of her life was spent in the role of homemaker. She enjoyed reading, bridge and “Search a Word.” She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Melrose, MA and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Derry, NH.
She is survived by her daughter, Winifred and husband John Lefavour of Franconia, two grandchildren, Faith and husband Stephen Miller of Belmont, NH, Walter and wife Misty Gillis of Londonderry, NH, three step-grandchildren, B. Dexter Lefavour of Middlesex, VT, Jennifer and husband Daniel Rossignol of Stow, MA, Clark and wife Linda Lefavour of Southboro, MA, two great grandchildren, Logan Gillis and Miles Miller, four step-great grandchildren, Shane and Jason Miller, Nathan and Christine Lefavour.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22nd at 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation of NH, Inc., PO Box 970, Concord, NH 03302-0970.
