New Bedford – Deolinda Ferro, age 93 of New Bedford, passed away, on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was the widow of Manuel Ferro and the daughter of the late Maria A. (Cucina) and Manuel Correia she was born in Feteira de Nordeste, St Michael, Azores
She is survived by 7 children:Maria Emilia Ferro, Maria Fatima Tavares, Maria Carmo Campos, Maria Manuela Pacheco, Agnes Leite, Ernesto Ferro, and Antonio Ferro, 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, a sister Maria Gaspar and a brother Jose Arruda as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs Ferros’ funeral will be Thursday beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 P.M.
