Obituary

Victor Twiraga, 85, of Mattapoisett died December 16, 2004 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of the late Nina B. (Stewart) Twiraga.
Born in Hyde Park, the son of the late Adolph P. and Catherine (Gresky) Twiraga, he lived in Mattapoisett most of his life wintering in Indialantic, Florida for 18 years.
Mr. Twiraga was formerly employed as a fabrication engineer at F.M. Hill and Sons in Walpole for 45 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed gardening, travel, the beach and life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Norwood.
Mr. Twiraga served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon with one bronze battle star, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth S. Eisenhauer of Mattapoisett and Martha K. Lorentz of Lawrence; a grandson, William T. Eisenhauer, and his wife Jackie, of Woodbridge, VA; his godchildren, Donna Fontaine, Stephanie Florea, Courtney Florea and Destiny Florea; and several nieces and nephews, including Betty Sue Ramsey of Mattapoisett.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service on Saturday, December 18th at 10:30 AM in Cushing Cemetery, Mattapoisett.
Visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Friday, December 17th from 5-8 PM.
