Obituary

Rockland – Joan I. (Molloy) Lesha 85, died Friday December 12 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Lesha.

Born in Boston and raised West Roxbury she was the daughter of the late Philip and Julia (McCarthy) Molloy.

Joan had been a resident of Rockland since 1963 where she and her husband Joe raised their four children, and for many years she had worked as an accountant for Nickerson Machine and the Nickerson Theater both of Norwell.

She enjoyed cooking and baking and in her younger years she sold her decorated cakes for added income.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed writing and loved to travel and camp, but her greatest joy was time spent with her family.

She is survived by her son John Lesha, her daughter Michele Lesha and her companion William Drosos all of Rockland, her brother Robert Molloy of Florida and her grandson Theodore Lesha as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Gerard Lesha and Joseph Lesha, Jr., her siblings Dr. Philip Molloy, Paul Molloy, Jean “Terry” Pagliuca and Dorothy Molloy and her grandson Scott Drosos.

Her funeral service will be held Friday December 19 at 10 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Thursday December 18 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
