Rosalie Ann Aaronian, of Medford, died Dec.10, 2014 at Lahey Hospital, in Burlington, MA. The daughter of the late Suren and Nevart (Kazarosian) Aaronian, she was born Aug. 30, 1936 and lived her entire life in Somerville and Medford. A graduate of Medford High School and Leland Powers School, she worked for WHDH-TV, Community Opticians, Greyhound, and G.H. Hall Publishing.
She was a life-long member of the First Armenian Church of Belmont, MA. An avid fan of Boston sports, she followed the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics for decades. She looked forward to the Winter Olympics every four years and was devoted to Judge Judy. She was a loving caregiver for her parents and two aunts in their final years.
Ms Aaronian is survived by her son, Derek Fitzgerald, and his wife Deborah, of Rockport, MA, and their daughter, Shannon; her brother, Richard, and his wife, Margaret, of Exeter, NH; as well as an aunt, Alice Aaronian, of Peabody. Her family also includes many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Lillian Devine of Venice, Florida, and Grace Putnam of Rye, New Hampshire.
At Ms Aaronian’s request, services will be private; burial will be in Rye Central Cemetery, Rye, NH. Memorial donatios may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, Watertown, MA.
