WORCESTER-Rose O. (Baharozian) Aslanian, 92, of Worcester passed away Thursday, December 11 in the Jewish Healthcare Center.
Her husband, William Z. Aslanian died in 1994. She leaves a daughter, Jan Z. Mikitarian and her husband Louis; two granddaughters, Ani K. Mikitarian and Karine E. Mikitarian all of Boylston; a sister, Sophie Tolajian of Watertown; a niece and two nephews. A sister, Lillian Garbouchian predeceased her. She was born in Watertown, daughter of Manoog and Zaghig (Assarian) Baharozian and graduated from Watertown High School.
Rose worked as a bookkeeper for a number of years for the former Standard Oil Company. She also worked for many years as an assistant in the Worcester Public Schools and Worcester State College as well as a personal assistant to Milton P. Higgins. She was a longtime member of the Armenian Church of Our Savior and active in the Woman’s Guild, the Avaks and served on many church committees.
The Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 15 at 11:00 AM in the Armenian Church of Our Savior, 87 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Savior, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester, 01609.
