Obituary

Kathleen Mary (Hudson) Madden, 48, of Franklin, died at home on Dec 9th. She is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Christopher Sean Madden, two children, Ryan Christopher and Megan Elizabeth, both students at Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, her parents William and Mary Hudson of Westmont, N.J. and her two sisters, Elizabeth Curran (wife of Andrew) of Haddon Township, N.J. and Patricia Cleff (wife of Stephen) of Collingswood, N.J.
Kathleen was born on April 19, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Doylestown, PA. The Maddens also lived in Kauai, HI and then Glastonbury, CT before moving to Franklin, MA 10 years ago.
Kathleen earned her BS in Accounting and Finance from Drexel University. She worked as an Accountant at Coopers and Lybrand after graduation. Later, she founded and owned her own company, Get Organized LLC, was a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and worked as the Consulting Office Manager at Carpe Diem in Franklin.
Kathleen was very active in the community serving as a Girl Scout leader and teacher of CCD at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin for over 8 years. She was also a staunch supporter of Remington Jefferson School, as well as the numerous sports programs of her children (soccer, gymnastics, etc.). Her many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family members from all stages of her life were blessed by her inordinately generous nature and deep spirituality; truly always thinking and helping others first and foremost.
Her wake will be held on Sunday December 14 from 4pm-8pm at the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 131 Main Street, Franklin, MA.
On Monday December 15 at 9:15am family will meet at Ginley Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held after this at 10am at St. Mary’s Church, One Church Square, Franklin MA.
Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, 879 Main Road in Westport, Massachusetts.
