Obituary

Dennis P. Donnelly, 53, of Londonderry, NH passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 9, 1961 in New York, NY a son of Gerald Donnelly and Helen (Mausolf) Donnelly. Dennis proudly served his country in the Unites States Navy for four years with the USS Sampston (DDG-10) and USS Elmer Montgomery (FF-1082). He continued his faithful service to his country with the United States Coast Guard, retiring in 2002 having served with USCGC GALLATIN (WHEC-721), C3I East, USCGC CHASE (WHEC-718), VTS-NY, USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716), ISC-Boston, and Activities NY- VTS. Following his retirement from the Coast Guard, he was employed by the Department of Homeland Security/TSA. He had a passion for coaching Londonderry Youth Football for 17 years. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed golfing, playing on various sports teams and spending time with friends and his family. Dennis will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother, coach and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Luanna (Patten) Donnelly of Londonderry, his two sons, Dennis P. Donnelly and his wife Sara of Greenland, NH and Sean Donnelly, Londonderry, NH and his girlfriend Jillian Dejadon, his father Gerald Donnelly of Pompano Beach, Florida, his mother Helen Donnelly of Long Beach, NY, four siblings, Kevin Donnelly of Ellenwood, Georgia, James Donnelly of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Edward Donnelly and his wife Gerri of Long Beach, NY, and Jeanne Marie Donnelly of Long Beach, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday December 12th at 10:00am in St. Pius X Church, Manchester, NH. Burial followed at 12:30pm in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
