WORCESTER___Adela M. “Dell” (Urbanovitch) O’Leary, died Dec. 14, 2004 at the Radius Care Center, Worcester after a long illness. She was 85 years of age.
She was predeceased by her husband, John T. O’Leary and leaves her sons, John T. O’Leary, Jr., of Brookfield and Daniel A. O’Leary of Rutland; three grandsons, Matthew O’Leary of Holden; Patrick O. O’Leary of North Brookfield and Brian J. O’Leary of West Brookfield and three great-grandchildren. Born in Paxton in 1919 she was the daughter of Anton and Sophia (Bullock) Urbanovitch and has lived in Worcester since 1941. Her brothers, Charles, Peter and Frank have passed away. She leaves sisters, Frances (Urbanovitch) Johnson of Rutland and Stasia Urbanovitch of Worcester and brothers, Adam, Aleck and Louis all of Paxton and Joseph of New Port Richey, Fl.
Mrs. O’Leary attended Worcester Girls Trade High School and worked at Norton Co., The Brick Steamer in Paxton and the House of Affirmation in Whitinsville. Prior to a stroke in 1995 she enjoyed travel and kept extensive vegetable and flower gardens at her 27 Heman’s St., home. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was active in church groups there and was a catechetical teacher there for many years.
The funeral will be held on Saturday December 18 from HENRY–DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday December 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.
