Obituary

DUDLEY – Lyman L. Hall, 88, died Monday, December 8, 2014 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health.
He leaves 4 children, L. Chandler Hall, Brian C. Hall, Jason C. Hall and Lynda J. Hall; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a cousin, George Winston Hall of Dudley.
He was born and raised in Webster, the son of Lyman Chandler Hall and Marion (Cozzens) Hall. He lived in Dudley for most of his life. He graduated from Bartlett High School in the class of 1944.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hall, a brick mason, owned and operated L. L. Hall Contracting for many years. He was formerly a real estate broker. He was also a farmer.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Dudley. A licensed auctioneer, he ran the annual summer auction at the church from its inception in 1972 until 2012. He was a member of the Black Tavern Historical Society. He enjoyed rebuilding antique buggies and carriages. He raised racing pigeons and belonged to the CNC Pigeon Club in Chicopee.
The family would like to thank his respite worker Hanna from Catholic Charities and the staff of Unit One at Webster Manor for the excellent care they provided.
The funeral will be held Friday, December 12, at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational Church of Dudley, 135 Center Road. Burial will be in Corbin Cemetery. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide military honors at the cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
