Thomas Dale "Tom" Williams

Thomas Dale "Tom" Williams, 74, of Anderson, passed away at home on Saturday, December 6, 2014 following an extended illness.
Tom was born on December 29, 1939 in Anderson, the son of Roscoe and Florence (Stroud) Williams. He was a 1958 Graduate of Anderson High School. He was employed by Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 33 years, retiring in 1993. His hobbies included canoeing, feeding his pet squirrels, reading, yard work and being outdoors. He had a black belt in Judo and was a wrestler during his time at Anderson High School, lifetime member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice "Jan" (Robbins) Williams whom he married on September 8, 1962, 2 children: Teresa ( husband Akbar) Shahsavar of Fishers and Timothy Williams of Dallas, TX, 7 grandchildren: Ali, Sam and Sarah Shahsavar, and Katherin, Thorin, Corum, and Dorian Williams. 5 siblings: Louis Williams, Nelda Fadely, Paul Williams, Jimmie Williams, and Linda Pough, 3 sisters in law: Mona Williams, Peggy Williams and Susanna Robbins, and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Williams, a sister, Martha Riger, a brother in law, Dick Fadely and a sister in law, Shirley Williams.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 12:30 PM at East Maplewood Cemetery Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mark Helm. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service on Friday before the service
