Obituary

John “Bernie” Williams, 100, of Manchester, died December 5, 2014.
He was born in Manchester on June 1, 1914 to John H. and Mae (Quinn) Williams, Jr. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He served in the forestry service and, during World War II, with the U.S. Army Air Corp.
He later worked as a salesman for Foster Beef Company in Manchester for 30 years. He had a passion for fly fishing.
Bernie’s Irish charm and wit provided him with many lifelong and dedicated friends who never wavered in their caring and concern for him. He led a truly charmed life and is now with his beloved wife, Helen, who died in 2011.
The family includes two step sons, Robert Beauchemin and his wife, Betty, of Arizona and Bernie Beauchemin and his wife, Janine, of Florida; two step grandchildren, Robert Beauchemin and his wife, Laura, and Ken Beauchemin; four step great grandchildren, Racheal Beauchemin, Lindsey Nolan, Meghan Nolan and Connor Beauchemin; and a great great grandchild, Hazel.
The family would like to thank John’s neighbors on Dunbar Street and Terry and Rick Duguay for the loving care they provided. A special note of gratitude to Ken and the caring staff of Aurora Senior Living Center of Derry, NH.
Military honors were given on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
Memorial donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester.
