Edward J. Trudell, age 42, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away surrounded by the embracing love of his family, on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, following a long term illness.
Born in Boston, MA on September 26, 1972, he was the loving son of William P. Trudell of Mansfield and the late Priscilla W. (Skrabut) Trudell.
Ed was a 1990 graduate of Mansfield High School and received his Bachelors Degree in Architecture in 1996 from Norwich University in Vermont. While at Norwich, he was an active participant of Habitat for Humanity.
Ed had worked in the customer service department at Paychek in Mansfield and along with his family, was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Ed’s favorite times spent were those amongst family and friends; especially with his cherished nieces and nephews. He loved being outdoors; engaging in gardening, hiking and kayaking. He also enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music, and being a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving and devoted brother and sister; William C. Trudell and his wife Laura of Norton and Julie A. Robinson and her husband Michael of Mansfield. He was the adoring uncle of Justin, Meghan and Connor Trudell and Brendan, Madeline and Olivia Robinson, and is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, December 11th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 10th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
