Goffstown– Rita A. Lessard, 92, died December 4, 2014 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on June 24, 1922 the daughter of Lucien and Emilienne (Marcotte) Montmarquet.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Oscar (Bud) Lessard in 2005, a brother, Lucien (Joe) Montmarquet in 2005, a granddaughter, Sandra Warteman in 2009, and a grandson, Jeffrey Bayerlein in 2014.
Left to celebrate her life are 3 daughters, Gloria Moore and her husband, Ralph of Hooksett, Sandra Brummett and her husband, Samuel of Lafayette, IN., Cheryl Bayerlein and her husband, J. Robert of Virginia Beach, VA., as well as 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Lessard was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Hooksett.
She enjoyed music and cherished her memories of a trip to Hawaii with her husband.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A prayer service will be held in the chapel at 3:30 during calling hours.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the spring in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
