Obituary

Bridgewater - Andrew Albert Anacki Sr., 81, of Bridgewater died Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Blanchard) Anacki.

Born Feb. 24, 1923, in Middleboro, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Rock) Anacki.

A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, he was raised and educated there.

Mr. Anacki was a maintenance engineer at Independent Nail Factory Company for 42 years.

He was a World War II veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the 119th Battalion.

Mr. Anacki was a member of the Polish Club, Lincoln Club, 49ers Club and the Marshfield Yacht Club.

He was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and enjoyed attending C.B. reunions,

Mr. Anacki also enjoyed fishing and lobstering.

He is survived by his children, Gregory Anacki, Mary Landry, Daniel Anacki, Andrew A. Anacki Jr., Jean Costa and David Anacki; his sister and brother, Alice Mannke and Anthony Anacki; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Paul Anacki, Ernestine Gustafson and Tanya Spirida.

His funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m.
