Walter J. Eberhardt, 87, of Manchester, died December 3, 2014 at his home after a period of declining health.
He was born in Lawrence, MA on June 1, 1927 to William and Annie (Springer) Eberhardt. He lived in Methuen, MA for many years before moving to Manchester in 1978. He had also wintered in Port Orange, Fl for many years.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.
Walter owned and operated Lowell Street Motors in Methuen and Lakeside Manufactured Homes in Manchester. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Methuen.
He was always helpful and enjoyed time spent with his family. He also enjoyed 19 years with his faithful dog, Beau.
The family includes his wife of 65 years, Eleanor M. (Rembis) Eberhardt of Manchester; two daughters, Cherie Eberhardt Duggan and her husband, Michael, of Jacksonville, FL and Lori Eberhardt Rahill and her husband, John, of Manchester; two grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Rahill and Max Eberhardt Rahill; one cousin and nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
