Chester "Chet" "Pat" Melvin Ritterskamp
April 6, 1922 - Dec. 1, 2014

Chester "Chet" "Pat" Melvin Ritterskamp, 92, formerly of Anderson died December 1, 2014 at Prairie Lake Health Campus in Noblesville after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

He was born April 6, 1922 in Washington, Indiana to Walter Ernest and Bernice Marion (Stone) Ritterskamp.

He served aboard the Henry T. Allen, a transmitter ship in the South Pacific, from 1943 to 1946 during World War II.

He was a member of Anderson Church of the Brethren since 1959.

He was an Electrical Engineer for General Motors in Anderson from 1952 until his retirement in 1980.

He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes and table tennis. He was a member of Anderson Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Betty-Jo (Davis) Ritterskamp whom he married July 17, 1946; son, Michael (Helen) Ritterskamp of Dixon, KY; daughters, M. Ann (Donnie) Hummel of Markleville, IN and Tamara L. Nightingale of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, David (Megan) Ritterskamp; Jeanne (Brian) Hannon; Amy Ritterskamp; Stephanie (Zach) Starkey; Lindsey Ann Hummel; D. Garrett Maller and Abby (Scott) Fraunfelder; great grandchildren, Iris L. Hannon; Benton M. Ritterskamp; Eliza K. Starkey and Stacie J. Fraunfelder.

Preceded in death by his parents.

The family wishes to express its deep appreciation to Primrose Retirement Community in Anderson and Prairie Lakes in Noblesville for their care and compassion during the past several years.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. John Bunch officiating with entombment at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home
