Marcia L. (Lopes) Reed, 64, of New Bedford died November 30, 2014 at Good Samaritan Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Tewksbury, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalina (Pina) Britto, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was formerly employed by several local fish houses for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and bingo.
Survivors include her biological mother, Beverly (Lopes) DeAndrade of Virginia; 2 daughters, Karrie-Ann Soto of New Bedford and Annisa Reed of Taunton; a step-son, George Magnusen of Norway; 4 brothers, Glenn, John, Dino and Daniel DeAndrade; 5 sisters, June and Theresa Britto, Lisa and Danielle DeAndrade and Lisa Reels; 5 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Robbie-Ann Reed-Santos and the great-grandmother of the late Aylah Reed.
Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 5th from 4-7 PM.
