Julia Ann Daugherty died after a brief illness at her residence in Iowa City, IA on December 1, 2014.
She was born October 10, 1961 in Anderson to Frank and Rose (Swaters) Daugherty and was confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was baptized.
She attended Lindberg Elementary, East Side Middle School and graduated from Highland High School.
Julie was a Whitinger Scholar at Ball State and graduated with bachelor and master's degrees in actuarial science.
She worked for a short time as an actuary in Evanston, IL and then moved to Iowa City, Iowa. She got a masters in English and was accepted into the doctorial program at Iowa University.
Julie has been a senior associate for American College Testing since 1991.
She is survived by her parents, Frank and Rose Daugherty, three brothers, Dan (Tricia) and Steve (Ellen) of Anderson and Philip of Indianapolis; two sisters, Lisa (Wayne) Combs of Greenville, OH and Teresa (Bran) Mc Farland of River Falls, Wisconsin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation will be done in Iowa City by Gay and Ciha. Local arrangements through Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. There will be no local formal services.
Memorial contributions may be given to a local hospice or the animal shelter of either city.
