Madelyn E. Posey, 83, of Moultrie, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla.
Graveside memorial services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, December 5, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. David Biggers officiating.
Ms. Posey was born March 7, 1931, in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Columbus Howard & Leacy Howell Posey. She was a long-time nurse working in several offices. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for many years. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Ms. Posey relocated to Moultrie. For the past five years, she resided in Ocilla. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a brother: Columbus Howard Posey, Jr. of Loxley, Alabama; a sister: Sandra Ponder of De Land, Florida as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Irvin H. Posey.
