E. Doreen (Shipp) Turner age 82 of Salem, NH, died Sunday at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre in Methuen, MA
She was born in Toronto, Canada, grew up and was educated in Lawrence, MA, where she graduated from Lawrence High School. She was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 47 years, formerly of Lawrence, MA.
Mrs. Turner was a retired Librarian for the Kelly Library in Salem, NH, where she worked for over 20 years. She was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Salem, NH, the O.E.S. Chapter 57 in Salem, NH, and the Essex County Bee Keepers, where she was a member for 42 years.
She is survived by her Husband: Richard Turner of Salem, NH
2 Daughters: Shirley Coates of Las Vegas, NV
Jean & her Husband Herbert Makin of Weare, NH
1 Brother: Earl Shipp of Cape Cod, Massachusetts
1 Sister: Isobel Johnson of Ocala, FL
1 Grandson: Matthew Coates, 1 Great Grandson: Bryce Coates
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2004 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
