Hanson – Joseph Patrick Dolan 53, a resident of Hanson for 10 years, died Sunday November 30 after a period of failing health.
Born in Weymouth and raised in Rockland he was the son of the late Bernard and Grace (Murphy) Dolan.
Joseph had grown up on Summit Street in Rockland and was a graduate South Shore Vocational Technical High, Class of 1979 majoring in carpentry.
He was a Veteran of the United States Marines.
He is survived by his brothers and sister Bernard J. Dolan of Brazil, Daniel P. Dolan and his wife Patricia of Taunton, the late James Dolan his wife Donna Dolan of Abington, John Dolan and his late wife Sue of Abington, Frankie Dolan of Brookline and Mary Ellen Brown and her husband Tim of East Bridgewater and his sister-in-law Maryann Dolan of Whitman as well as many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held Thursday December 4 at 10 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow at 1 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday December 3 from 4-8 PM.
