Badri Alavi, 80, entered into rest November 30, 2014. She was a loving wife of 66 years, mother of five, grandmother of 9, and great grandmother of 11. She was born in Shoushtar, Iran. She lived in Los Angeles, California most of her life. She moved to Augusta, Georgia to be with her youngest grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Mehdi, and is survived by her husband, Ali Akbar, daughters, Laleh, Zari (Farrokh), and sons, Mahmood (Edina) and Hossain (Susan).
She was a caring individual and generously helped all those whom she met. She enjoyed traveling, hosting parties and cooking for everyone. She was a spiritual lady and full of life. She passed away at her home, with her family at the bedside. We would like to thank Gentiva Hospice, Doctors Hospital, Doctors Hospital Radiation Oncology and Augusta Oncology Associates for their compassionate care. To honor her request, a formal funeral ceremony will not be held.
