Obituary

Walter R. Frazee “Ray” of Wellesley passed away peacefully on Sunday Morning, November 30, 2014 at his home. He was ninety-three years old.

Born on February 3, 1921 in Wilmington, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Gerald and Alice (Graves) Frazee.

Mr. Frazee enlisted in the United States Navy and attended music school in Washington, D.C. He was a Musician 2nd Class and a survivor of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. His instruments included the flute, guitar and piccolo and he played with the Navy Dance Band under the direction of Claude Thornhill.

A resident of Wellesley since the age of ten, he lived eighty-three years there and owned and operated the Wellesley Hills CITGO Station for thirty-eight years before owning the Frazee Automotive Station in Natick for thirty years.

He was the devoted husband of Doris (Rinier) Frazee of Wellesley and together they shared seventy years of marriage.

He was the loving father of Stephen Frazee and his wife Esther of Wellesley, Nancy Frazee of Maryland, Mark Frazee and his wife Christine of Framingham and Michele Frazee of Wellesley.


Cherished grandfather of Christy Ann Howe and her husband Jeff, Megan Childs, Adrienne Kinchla and her husband Greg, Michael Frazee and his wife Mary Savoca, Courtney Frazee and Daniel Frazee.

Great grandfather of Owen and Emma Howe, Colt Childs and Joseph Kinchla.

Caring brother of Clifford Frazee of Norfolk and the late Richard Frazee formerly of South Natick and the late Arlene Frazee.

A Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Thursday, December 4th at 11:00AM followed by Military Honors. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.

The family will receive guests from 10:00-11:00AM. Interment is private.
