Obituary

Saba M. Ramia, 78, of New Bedford died November 29, 2014 at Brigham & Women's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of the late Ann C. (Riley) Ramia.
Born in Ehmej, Lebanon, the son of the late Mekhail and Mahbobi (Ramia) Ramia, he lived in New Bedford since 1967.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.
Mr. Ramia was the proprietor of Ann's Place, a pizza shop on Purchase Street which he operated with his children.
He enjoyed going to the casino.
Survivors include his son, Nick Ramia of New Bedford; a daughter, Terese Ramia of New Bedford; a sister, Saada Ramia of Lebanon; a grandson, John Cardoso Ramia; his mother-in-law, Adeline (David) Riley of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Boutros, George, Tanios, Moses, Yossef and Meryom Ramia.
His Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 4th at 10 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Divine Liturgy at 11 AM at Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, December 3rd from 4-8 PM.
