Suzanne A. Duval, 74, of Manchester, died November 28, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester, NH on June 25, 1940, the daughter of Rosario and Annette (Gauvin) Chaput. She attended Villa Augustina and worked for over 22 years at General Electric Co., manufacturing jet engine parts for military air craft. This was something she took great pride in. Suzanne had a love of the ocean, seafood, and especially Christmas, which was her favorite holiday. Her passion was her family and her grandchildren were the extreme center of her life. Suzanne also valued her relationships with her close friends that endured over many decades, as well as the friendships she made with her co-workers and members of the Polio Survivor’s support group. She loved animals and will be deeply missed by her feline companion, Cloe. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
Family members include three daughters, Annette Goldberg and husband Kurt of Cape Nedick, ME; Jacqueline Dufresne of Candia; and Michele Dougherty and husband Sean of Loudon; three sons, Gerard (Jerry) Duval, Jr. and wife Christine of Manchester; John Duval and wife Carrie of Concord; and Pierre (Pete) Duval and wife Sandi of Concord; eleven grandchildren, Gerard Duval, III and wife Chantal, and their daughter Juliet; Marc, Patrick, Laura and Heather Duval; Jared and Jason Dufresne; Courtney Mathews; and Joseph, Margaret and Erin Dougherty; a sister, Paulette Delisle and husband Ronald of Goffstown; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful caregivers of VNA Hospice as well.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Parish of Transfiguration, followed by committal prayers in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
