Linwood C. Brown, Sr., 77, of Acushnet, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014, with his family by his side at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was husband of the late Rose M. (Prevost) Brown.
Born in New York, NY, son of the late George P. and Mary B. (Glasz) Brown, he had lived in Acushnet for most of his life. Mr. Brown worked for Goodyear Rubber in New Bedford for 24 years and at Borden Remington Corporation in Fall River until his retirement in 2007. He had been a member of the Acushnet Wheelers. He enjoyed fishing, collecting, antiquing and hunting but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include a son: Linwood C. Brown, Jr. of Acushnet; 2 daughters: Kathy Carter and her husband Trevy of Warren, MA and Cindy Young of Acushnet; a brother: Eric Brown of Acushnet; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Kirby Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.

Interment in Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet.
