Obituary

Edward H. Lemieux, Sr., 79, of Auburn went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27th at home surrounded by his family. His wife of 47 years, Joanne (Stapleton) Lemieux died in 2003. He leaves three sons, Edward H. Lemieux, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Auburn, Scott Lemieux of Auburn and Leonard Lemieux of Burlington; a daughter, Lori Vivlamore and her husband, William of Auburn; two brothers, Paul LaRochelle and his wife, Karen of Deer Park, WA and Ronald LaRochelle and his wife, Nancy of Shrewsbury; a sister, Jean LaRochelle of Worcester; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lynne Moseley.
He was born in Worcester the son of Raymond and Alice (Lavoie) LaRochelle and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. Mr. Lemieux was a truck driver for UPS for 40 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church, the Local 170 and the Chester P. Tuttle Post 279. Edward attended that Auburn Senior Center and enjoyed spending time with his family.
His funeral is Wednesday, December 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 2nd from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Central MA Hospice, 191 Pakachoag St., Auburn, MA 01501 or to Auburn Youth and Family Services, 21 Pheasant Ct., Auburn, MA 01501.
