Obituary

Dian Tyson Davis, 61, of Clayton, Georgia, formerly of Ocilla, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 29, 2014, at The Ocilla Church of God with the Rev. Clayton Dowd, the Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. and the Rev. Adam Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Brushy Creek Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 5 to 7, at the funeral home in Ocilla.

Mrs. Davis was born May 31, 1953, in Winston Salem, North Carolina, to the late Dan and Annie Edelle Blount Gray. She attended Irwin County High School and graduated from Lively Technical School in Tallahassee, Florida. Mrs. Davis lived in the Ocilla community most of her life, with the exception of the past two years, where she resided in Clayton. She was a former employee of The Bank of Ocilla and the Irwin County Board of Education. Mrs. Davis enjoyed working outside, decorating and performing skits at churches and schools to bring joy and laughter. She was a member of the Ocilla Church of God and attended the Wiley Church of God in Clayton.

She is survived by her husband: Johnny Davis of Clayton; two sons: Phillip & Renae Tyson of Ocilla and Steven & Stacey Tyson of Ocilla; a daughter: Kelly T. & Andy Cameron of Ocilla; grandchildren: Alexis Tyson Harper, Sydnee Tyson, Laken Rodgers, Christen Martin, Cara Martin, Cain Martin, Zachary Young, Hunter Tyson, Conner Tyson, Fisher Tyson, Westen Cameron and Kohen Cameron and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Wayne Gray.
