Penland, Jean (Redmon), 82, of Louisville passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Baptist Health with her loved ones by her side.
Jean was a native of Columbia, KY but she spent most of her life in Louisville, a member of Virginia Ave. United Methodist Church and was a sales associate for Sears. Jean was an avid U K basketball fan and had a true passion for gardening & her flowers. But her greatest love was her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Penland; five siblings, Gilbert, Avolee, James, Charles & Madeline Keith.
Survivors include her four children, Kathy Gamage (Rob), Scott Penland (Lori), Paul Penland (Joni) & Laurie Felty (Todd); a sister, Betty Rigdon (Ted); seven grandchildren, Zak, Justin (Jenny), Bryan, Nicholas, Jack, James & Jason (Katie); three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 12:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with cremation to follow.
