Obituary

T/Sergeant, Mark A. Lakeman U.S.A.F. Retired, a longtime resident of Panama City, Florida and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida following an extended illness. He was 53 years old.

Mark was born in Boston on July 9, 1961, a son of Evelyn R. "Lyn" (Davis) Addison and the late John F. Addison. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Mark enlisted into the United States Air Force on November 27, 1979 and served his country with honor and courage in Europe, Asia and Alaska while stationed at Homestead Air Force Base and Tyndall Air Force Base and retired as a Tech-Sergeant after 20 faithful years of dedicated service to his country on November 30, 1999. Following his retirement, Mark worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the United States Air Force for several years. Mark was an avid Boston sports fan and he loved fishing.

Mark is the beloved son of Evelyn R. "Lyn" (Davis) Addison and the late John F. Addison. He is the devoted brother of Danny Lakeman and his wife Janet of Charlestown, Kenny Lakeman of Florida, Ricky Lakeman and his wife Mary of Tewksbury, Gregory Lakeman of Melrose, Roland Lakeman of South Boston and John Addison and his wife Linda of Melrose. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mark's Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
