TEWKSBURY: Louise Katherine (Russo) Hunt, R.N., age 82, a resident of Tewksbury for 57 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2014, after a brave struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was surrounded by three generations of her loving family throughout her illness and in each of her final days.
Louise was the beloved wife of David Truesdale Hunt of Tewksbury, married 61 years.
Born in Malden on May 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Verna (Keddy) Russo.
Louise attended the Melrose Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for many years prior to beginning her family.
She was intensely involved in area historic preservation, genealogy and antiques. In addition, she was a member of and served as an archivist for the Lowell Historical Society, the Tewksbury Historical Society, St. Anne's Historical Society, the Tewksbury Hospital Public Health Museum, and the Whistler House in Lowell.
Louise and Dave enjoyed travel in their R.V. and spent winters in Crystal River, FL.
In addition to her husband Dave, she is survived by three daughters Carolyn (Lyndy) Fallica of Reading, Lisa Decker and Donna (Dodie) Dickenson both of Londonderry, NH; one sister, Joan M. Russo of Sterling; as well as four grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Service at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 14 Treble Cove Road, North Billerica. Private interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
