Jane Higdon Ford, 79, passed away November 21, 2014 in Louisville, Ky. She was born in Glasgow, KY to Edd L. and Benora (Kinslow) Ford. Jane was a retired teacher and reading specialist with JCPS. She was a member of Shively Baptist Church. She’s preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce Ford Kinnison; and a niece, Mary Jane Phillips. Jane is survived by her nieces, Sue Foster (Len) of Spring Hill, FL, and Kelly Wilson (Earl) of Louisville; and two great nephews, Stephen and Christopher Wilson. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may go to the Arthritis Foundation, Alzheimer’s Assoc., or Hosparus of Louisville. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 1:00PM, with visitation from 9:00AM until time of service at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
