Frances E. Gillis (O’Neill) age 80 of Stoughton passed away November 20st at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was raised in Milton and graduated from Arch Bishop High School in Boston and went on to take college courses at both Stonehill College and Boston College. She worked as a Legal Secretary for Gillette in S. Boston for many years before retiring. She has lived in Stoughton for the last 45 years where she was an active member and CCD Teacher at the Immaculate Conception Church. Beloved wife of James F. Mother of Ellen M. Gillis of Framingham, John F. Gillis and his wife Julie of Milton and Jennifer C. Kehrmeyer and her husband Kevin of Walpole. Grandmother of Lila and June Gillis. Sister of Donald O’Neill of Plymouth, Frederick O’Neill of N.H. and Sister Nancy O’Neill SND of NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church Stoughton Tuesday morning at 10:30.
