WAYLAND: Margaret E. “Peg” (Kirby) Weiler, 95 formerly of East Providence, RI and Dorchester died peacefully surrounded by her family on November 18, 2014.
Peg was born on August 8, 1919 in Boston the daughter of the late Walter P. Kirby and Bridget Agnes (Henson) Kirby. She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Weiler who died in 1992.
She was the loving mother of Robert K. Weiler and his wife Elizabeth Weiler of Wayland; Janet “Honey” Keene and her husband Richard MacLean of Middletown, RI and John E. Weiler and his wife Donna Weiler of Plano, TX. Sister of Gerald Kirby and his wife Dorothy Kirby of Quincy and the late Rita Thornton, Walter Kirby, Jr., Joseph Kirby and Mary MacDonald. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 29 nieces and nephews.
Peg has resided in Wayland for 10 years and previously in East Providence, RI. She spent her formative years in Dorchester and Roslindale and graduated with an A.S. degree in Secretarial Studies from Bryant and Stratton in Boston. She retired as a secretary at LaSalle Academy in Providence, RI after 14 years of dedicated service. She was a devoted Catholic and her faith was the center of her life.
Visitations will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 124 Cochituate Road (Rte 27), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Kirby family lot in Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline.
