Westport – Edith M. (Tunney) Vieira, 61, of Westport died Friday, December 10, 2004 at home after a brief illness. She was the widow of Manuel P. Vieira.
She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late John T. and Elsie M. (Orr) Tunney, and lived in the city in her younger years prior to moving to Westport as an adult. She had worked for Wal-Mart in Dartmouth as a sales associate until her retirement. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport. Mrs. Vieira enjoyed bowling, crocheting, making ceramics and trips to Foxwoods. She had also been involved with the Westport Girl Scouts as a troop leader. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter: Karen E. Lowe and her husband Samuel of Dartmouth; 1 brother: John Tunney of Westport; 3 grandchildren: Bethany C. Lowe, Katelyn A. Lowe and Matthew J. Lowe all of Dartmouth. She was the former wife of Robert A. Evans.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Tuesday at 10 A.M. at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
