SOMERSET- Manuel P. Rita Jr., 95 of Somerset, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014 with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Manuel P. and Antonia (Rego) Rita. Prior to retiring, Manny worked for the Somerset Highway Department as a Truck Mechanic. He was a parishioner of St. John of God Church, enjoyed bowling, hunting, and racing pigeons.
He is survived by his son: Edward P. Rita of Pawtucket, RI; a sister: Olive Rego of Somerset; 2 grandchildren: Christopher and Rachel; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Liz Ferreira.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on SATURDAY with calling hours from 8:30-9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M.
