Obituary

Khaw, Kon-Taik, MD of Chestnut Hill, beloved husband of Emily C (Cua) Khaw, father and esteemed physician, died early Monday morning, November 17th 2014 at Boston’s Brigham’s and Women’s Hospital following an unexpected brain damaging stroke. He was surrounded by his immediate family.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Emily C (Cua); his two daughters Margery Shepard, husband Scott and 2 grandsons ages 18 and 23 of Wellesley; Jennifer Jamieson, husband Matt and 2 grandsons ages 9 and 11 of Danville CA.

He came to this country from Burma to attend Pamona College (’53) and then onto Rochester University Medical School (’57). As he began his career, he focused on working with young Cystic Fibrosis patients serving 25 year tenure at Boston Children’s Hospital and then 15 years at Massachusetts General Hospital where he was adored by his patients and their families. Dr. Khaw also was a longtime Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, Nov 21, 2014 at the Wellesley Village Congregational Church, 2, Central Street, Wellesley MA on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11am,
