Ornellas, of Abington, formerly of Brockton, December 10, 2004, Lauretta L. “Honey” Ornellas, 84 years. Wife of the late John R. “Mickey” Ornellas. Sister of Diane Johnston-White of North Easton and the late Bernardine Claflin. Stepmother of Patricia DeCost of Oklahoma, Robert Ornellas of Maine and the late Richard Ornellas. Also survived by her companion Frank Ellis of Abington.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Donations in Lauretta’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut St., Ste 301, Brockton, MA 02301.

Obituary Information

Lauretta L. “Honey” Ornellas died Friday morning at the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late Edward M. and Lauretta (Renaud) Cross. She was educated in the Sacred Heart Parochial Schools, Brockton. She was employed as a machinist by the Foxboro Company for six years retiring in 1982, and had previously been employed by local supermarkets including A&P, First National and Tedeschi. She was a former communicant of St. Nicholas Church and for many years had been a resident of Chestnut Glen in Abington. She and her late husband enjoyed ballroom dancing.

She is survived by one sister Diane Johnston-White of North Easton, one stepdaughter Patricia DeCost of Oklahoma, one stepson Robert Ornellas of Maine, several step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her companion Frank Ellis of Abington.

Wife of the late John R. “Mickey” Ornellas, sister of late Bernardine Claflin, and stepmother of the late Richard Ornellas.
