Phyllis (Costa) Kasiecki of Woburn died Monday, November 17 in the Wingate at Reading Nursing Home. Born and raised in Boston's North End, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia (Russo) Costa. Phyllis lived for many years in Medford, and was employed as a cook and manager of the Medford High School cafeteria. She moved to Woburn in 2008.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Adam Kasiecki, and the devoted mother of Phyllis Huse and her husband John of Tewksbury, Karen Kasiecki and her companion James McGrath of Medford, Janice Kasiecki of Weston. She was the loving grandmother of Brian and Kimberly Huse, and sister of Josephine Grasso of Texas, and the late Joseph and Vincent Costa. Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, November 21 at 9AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
