Obituary

Hudson- Norman C. Allen, Jr., 65, of 291 Cox St., formerly of Worcester, died Thursday, Dec. 9, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
His wife, Diane R. (Gut) Allen, died in 1994. He leaves his fiancee, Margaret R. “Margo” (Bell) Theodoss of Hudson, with whom he lived; a daughter, Elaine M. Dumas and her husband Michael of Worcester; a brother, Neil Allen of Easton, PA; three sisters, Nancy Martin of Henderson, NC, Shirley Bryfogle of Greenwood, DE, and Althea Allen of PA; six grandchildren, Emily Dumas and Catherine Dumas of Worcester, Zachary Robson of Southborough, Steven Waugh, Alexandra Waugh, and Ariana Waugh, all of GA; nephews and nieces. He also leaves the Theodoss family whom he has adopted and treated as his own. He was born in Worcester, son of Norman C. and Doris (Wolcott) Allen and lived there all his life, before moving here two years ago. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.
He was a purchasing agent for the Neles Jamesbury Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Allen was a member of the Greendale Retired Mens Club and the American Bowling Congress. He was an avid bowler.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Norman’s memory may be made to Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, 189 May St., Worcester, MA 01602. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, is assisting with arrangements.
