Rosamond Bryan Puckett, 92, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, December 10, 2004 at Palmyra Medical Center, Albany, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 12, 2004, at the First Baptist Church, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Kelly Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Puckett was born July 20, 1912, in Macon, Georgia, to the late James Edgar and Leila Hazel Smith Bryan. She was a graduate of Lanier High School For Girls in Macon, where she grew up. Mrs. Puckett was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies of Nasah of the Hasan Temple, the Magnolia Garden Club, the First Baptist Church and the Bethany Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Puckett is survived by her husband of seventy-one years: Dr. Roy T. Puckett, Fitzgerald; a daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and James Willcox, Crawford, GA; a daughter-in-law: Georgianna Puckett Seymour, Ozark, AL; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. R. Terrell “Terry” Puckett and a sister, Evelyn Bryan Arnold.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 367, Fitzgerald, GA 31750 or to the Hasan Temple, 1822 Palmyra Rd., Albany, GA 31701.
