WAYLAND: Adam E. Krauss, 76, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident earlier in the day.
He was born in Boston on October 16, 1938 the son of the late Adam H. Krauss and Dorothy E. (Call) Krauss.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Cyrilla M. (Harrison) Krauss of Wayland. Devoted father of Stephen E. Krauss and his wife Wendy C. Krauss of Holliston and their children Meghan and Andrew Krauss; Mark J. Krauss and his wife Kelly A. Krauss of Millis and their children Jennifer, Julia, Jessica, Matthew and Timothy Krauss; Laura M. Barger and her husband Scott A. Barger of Cumberland, RI and their children Nichole and Christopher Barger. Brother of Barbara A. Hall and her husband George Hall of Brockton. Son-in-law of Mary T. Harrison of Boston. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Adam spent his formative years in Boston and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. He received his BA in Business Administration from Northeastern University. He had a long and impressive career as a Purchasing Agent for Hewlett – Packard in Waltham for over 43 years retiring in 2000. He and his wife Cyrilla were active communicants at St. Zepherins Church and he served as a Eucharistic Minister for 13 years. Adam enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. In his earlier years he was a coach for his children while they were participating in soccer for the Wayland Youth Soccer Program. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and cherished his grandchildren and the time spent with them.
Visitations will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 TO 8:00 PM at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte 30), Wayland.
Family and friends are cordially invited to go directly to his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherins Church, 99 Main St (Rte 27) Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Krauss family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Adam’s memory be sent to Saint Zepherins Church.
